Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing

We are looking for an exceptional sales leader to be a part of the company's core leadership team reporting to the CEO. This role will ideally be located in New York City but highly qualified candidates will be considered out of Chicago or Los Angeles. As SVP of Sales and Marketing you will work closely with the CEO and the other members of the leadership team to shape the company's overall strategy and implement a sales and marketing plan that drives revenue and results for clients that are passionate about our company and products. Qualifications
- Demonstrated track record of consistent sales growth within an early stage company or division selling into marketing agencies and large consumer brands
- A velocity sales approach conducive to the SaaS subscription sales model
- Significant experience leading a marketing team in the definition and packaging of cutting-edge technology products
- Demonstrated experience building and managing a client services team to support excellent customer service beyond the initial sale leading to consistent annual client renewals
- An unmatched desire to win and succeed both at a personal and company level
- Initiative, results-oriented drive and a solid work ethic requiring minimal direction
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, executive presence, superior poise and judgment
- Excellent time-management and prioritization skills; ability to prioritize and manage competing tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Ability to play a leadership role in understanding the business opportunities and challenges facing the organization
- A hands-on approach — personal selling as well as recruiting and developing a small sales team
- A passion for brand and agency sales as well as for our products
- Strong negotiation, presentation and closing skills
- High energy and drive, coupled with resourcefulness, required to succeed in a startup environment
- Domain knowledge of social media, online marketing, WOM, email marketing and other contemporary marketing approaches
- Deep understanding of the decision making process within marketing organizations, agencies
Responsibilities
- Identify, qualify, develop and close sales against quota, on a national level, to Brands (CMO, marketing groups, media planners, PR) and agencies
- Build a pipeline of both short-term and longer-term opportunities
- Build and lead the sales, marketing, and client service teams to support the sales and servicing of company product offerings
- Develop and implement a sustainable and scalable revenue model that maximizes opportunities
- Identify business development, partnering and strategic opportunities
- Partner with the executive team in providing customer input and insight into future offerings, marketing and operations
- Keep the executive team well apprised of opportunities, issues, the pipeline and sales forecasts
